Why I Started
I came to GRK looking for a way to stay in shape (I hate gyms, and did some karate in my youth so it felt like a good fit). Could never explain it to myself, but after 15 minutes into the trial class I knew I found my place. We have extraordinary instructors, and it is great to be with such a welcoming and dedicated people who are always ready to share their passion and help. So I come to work hard and relax and learn and clear my head and have fun and somehow it all just naturally comes together.

Why I like Shidokan
The style is fantastic - not flashy but intelligent and healthy, forcing you to give your best without killing yourself, and it opens gradually so the more you learn the more interesting and rewarding it becomes. Regardless of age you will always find the ways to improve and get better. Also, the whole association is built on friendship and has exceptional teachers always ready to share their knowledge regardless which dojo you come from.
What I Enjoy About Teaching
I see myself in every student I work with, and explaining technics to others helps me to better understand them myself. It is also always rewarding to see how other people progress and to know that I had a part in it.
Other Interests
Whitewater kayaking and all other things outdoor.
