Why I Started
I was on the back side of my thirties and wanted a less boring way to stay in shape. Specifically, I needed a way to keep up with my three young boys

Why I like Shidokan
Ours is a style that truly lasts a lifetime. Pretty much everything we do is built on natural movements, so we can continue to train well into our old age. Also, Iha Sensei’s passion for teaching, sharing, and helping his students grow is infectious. It is an energy I always want to have in my life.

Karate Achievements
Beyond the physical benefits, karate has helped me grow as a human being. I’ve learned to appreciate the empowering value of patience and the influence of details in everything. Plus the camaraderie and friendships I’ve built through practicing karate with like-minded people have enriched my life in ways I never could have imagined.

Other Interests
