Why I Started

Since I was a young child, I have been attracted to martial arts because of the way they help a person develop their character and physical condition. My first class was at age 9, and I remember it like it was yesterday. I knew that day that karate was for me; it is my passion.
 

Why I like Shidokan
I like Shidokan, first of all, because of Sensei Iha’s philosophy about making friends and helping each other, and secondly, I like the way we train. At our dojos, people of all ages train as a family. 

What I Enjoy About Teaching
What I love about teaching is seeing how a student grows day by day. Each student to me is also a sensei because their questions and observations help me view what I know from a different perspective.

Other Interests
I play the drums in a rock band and am a fan of aviation.
